| Aug. 2,2003: We brought her back from the show today. She's SOOO tiny!!! The one thing I just LOVE about her, is her solid white belly. It looks really cool with her black sides! We tried giving her some F/T pinks, but she refused them : (. Probably just too soon after bringing her home. She musked me when I picked her up to put her in her new home : P. Aug. 5,2003: We got some live pinks for her today. She only ate one. But, at least it's a start! : ))). Aug. 11,2003: We tried giving her some F/T again. No dice. We went and got some live and she ate 2 of them. Next time I'm going to try giving one live and one F/T, to see if she'll take them then. Aug.19,2003: Well, we got live for them and dethawed some F/T. I put the live in first hoping that WHEN she ate it, she would go right to the F/T. Well, she didn't even take the live!!! She just curled up in the corner of the feed tank, even after I covered it to give her privacy. Oh well, I'll try again next week : (. Aug. 25,2003: We went to the pet store for live pinks, but they were out : (. They only had fuzzies. I picked out the smallest ones for her, but I think they were a little too big yet. When we put her in her feed tank with it, she just watched it and sniffed from time to time, but never really tried to eat it. Tomorrow I'm going to try a different store for pinks. Hopefully she'll eat one AND a F/T!! Oct. 2,2003: Gees!! Been awhile since I updated with everything happening to Angel. Anyway, this week she ate a large F/T pink. I think she'll be ready for fuzzies soon. I just noticed I didn't put a length down for when we got her? Well, the day we brought her home we measured her at 13.5". I did another measurement Sept.4th and she was 15" even. I have to get another one soon! Oh, and another thing, she doesn't musk anymore!!! Oct. 4,2003: We got her 2 F/T mice pinks. She ate one. We still have to cover her tank or she doesn't eat. She'll just roam and sniff from time to time, but won't try eating. I guess we have another shy little girl ; ). Oct. 11,2003: She shed SOMETIME this week. My son found her shed buried in her aspen. She didn't eat this week. She's back to musking again too : P. Oct. 18,2003: She still hasn't eaten. I weighed her this week and she wieghs 24 grams. Oct. 25,2003: Still not eating : (. This is 3 weeks now. I hate this time of year!!! Nov. 1,2003: Nothing yet!! We even got her a live pinkie to try to get her going, and she still wasn't interested. Nov. 11,2003: AAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!! Man this is getting frustrating!!! Still hasn't eaten. We had the feed tank covered and I heard squeeking, so I thought she finally did. The pinkie must've just made her mad or something, because she never even wrapped it up! Nov. 18,2003: SHE FINALLY ATE!!! It took her a little while, and I had to make sure there was NO light going into the feed tank, but she finally ate :). It was only 2 live pinkies, but it's better than nothing! Dec. 2,2003: She ate one F/T pinky this week. I think next week I'll try giving her a fuzzy. I measured her this week, and she's up to 17" even. I didn't get to weigh her. Dec. 9,2003: She ate her first fuzzy this week. Sniff...they grow up so fast. Dec. 21,2003: She shed sometime this week? She's the only one on aspen, and she's always under it. We never get to see her turn blue :'(. Dec. 27,2003: She ate 2 F/T fuzzies this week. Jan. 3,2004: She ate both her F/T fuzzies this week. I still have to cover her feed tank or she won't even look at the mice. I weighed her this week too. She weighs 30 grams. Jan. 10,2004: Probably jinx myself...but it seems she's back to a normal feeding schedule : ). She ate both her fuzzies this week. Jan. 17,2004: Yup, JINX!!! LOL She didn't eat this week. But, she looked like she was starting to haze over. Jan. 22,2004: I found her shed today. I got her out and she actually didn't musk!!! She did rattle quite a bit though. Ah well, we're getting there! Jan. 24,2004: She ate her 2 fuzzies this week. Since Phoenix didn't eat his hoppers, I thought I'd let her have a shot at one. She tried, but could only get the head down. She spit it out and went back to eating her fuzzies. I measured her before I fed her and she's up to 21". Jan. 31,2004: She ate 2 fuzzies again this week. I weighed her again, and she's up to 38 grams. I actually weighed her after she ate too, she gained 12 grams with the fuzzies in her ; ). I want to see how much of the fuzzies weight is actually turned into HER weight next week. Getting bored I guess : ))). Feb. 7,2004: She ate 2 fuzzies again. I weighed her again before I fed her, and she's up to 44 grams. She gained 6 grams out of 12 grams of mice. Feb. 14,2004: She didn't eat this week. I weighed her again, and she's up to 48 grams. Feb. 28,2004: She shed this week. It looks like a full shed, the head section is all twisted up, but I can see both eye caps. She didn't eat anything last week and ate her FIRST hopper this week.I weighed her and she lost weight with not eating. She's back down to 44 grams. March 14,2004: She ate 2 hoppers this week, and weighed 52 grams. March 21,2004: She ONLY ate one hopper this week. I weighed her at 63 grams, and measured her at 22.5". But, I missed the tip of her tail in the measuring pic, so she's a LITTLE bit bigger ; ). March 28,2004: She didn't eat this week, but she was blue. I weighed her at 66 grams. April 4,2004: It LOOKS like she had a complete shed. I hate using aspen for her! It ALWAYS gets all over the shed and messes it up! But, that's what my son wants her on. Anyway, she ate 2 hoppers and weighed 62 grams. April 12,2004: She ate 2 hoppers again. She's back up to 65 grams. She's not musking anymore....not for me anyway! LOL Everytime I hold her, all she does is rattle her tail, When I give her to my son she musks on him right away! LOL April 22,2004: She really put on some weight this week!! She's up to 76 grams, and now out weighs Phoenix!! She's been eating 2 hoppers a week compared to Phoenix only eating one. She ate 2 again this week. April 27,2004: She's really been putting on weight lately! This week she weighed in at 90 grams!!! She even looks heavier! She only ate one hopper this week though. May 3,2004: She didn't eat this week , but it LOOKED like she was in shed. I weighed her at 96 grams, and measured her at 26.4". No wonder she's been putting on so much weight, she grew 4" in a little over a month!!! May 10,2004: She shed what LOOKED like a good shed. When my son got it out of the tank, he ripped it and it was all full of aspen. She ate 2 hoppers and weighed 88 grams. May 17,2004: She's back up to 96 grams. She ate 2 hoppers, so MAYBE she'll break 100 this week!!! |
