Who We Are: (Special thanks to Oorah for permission to use the sheitel picture) Keren Kol Kallah was established to provide orphan and destitute kallahs in Eretz Yisroel with essential needs, including electrical appliances and new clothes. Keren Kol has one main fund-raiser, a gala Sheitel Sale. But this is no ordinary sale. We work specifically with donated wigs, some brand-new, some gently worn, and we sell them to the public at prices that make them affordable for people who would not otherwise have the funds to buy a quality wig. The advantages of this arrangement are many: there is practically no overhead, every wig that is donated translates into actual money, those who buy the wigs are overjoyed to be able to afford a quality wig and they are excited that their money is also going to tzeddaka. It is a situation where everyone benefits; everyone feels happy and fulfilled. We have seen unusual Siyata Shmaya in every direction. Our annual Sheitel Sale has been a resounding success. Last year, the sale raised over $60,000 in just two hours! Unfortunately the list of needy brides grows daily while our capacity to help them has been hampered by unusual circumstances. Due to the halachic issue concerning wig hair, we have had to be extraordinarily selective about our wigs and this has diminished our supply significantly. We turn to you, our friends from across the globe, to join women from Antwerp to England, from Eretz Yisroel to America, to donate beautiful wigs that you are no longer wearing. Perhaps you ordered a wig and the color was not just so. Perhaps you wore a wig a year or two but did not find it comfortable. There are women in Eretz Yisroel who would be happy to purchase these pieces and the money goes straight to our needy brides. We have received wigs from the most illustrious manufacturers: Shevy, Freeda, Georgie, Yaffa, David and more. Perhaps your hairdresser has some unsold stock that she would be happy to donate. We have the warm blessings and Rabbinical endorsements of HaRav HaChacham Yaakov Hillel, HaRav HaMekubal Dovid Batzri, HaGaon HaRav Moshe Halberstam, and HaGaon HaRav Mattisyahu Deutsch.
