About Me...
I have been in modelling for 24 years and in the hobby of R/C Flight for 7 years. I have been an active Model Railroader for 18 years minus the last 3 when I moved to Florida. Now back in Texas all the open spaces have been calling to get back in the air again. I have owned 5 R/C Planes and many other R/C this or that.
What Started all This...
Well, I grew up in Texas and moved to Florida for 3 years. There I played with R/C Boats mostly and enjoyed the scenery. Upon moving back, I decided to get out the R/C Car...IT's GONE! along with the Boat, flight box, and the Transmitter for my Gentle Lady 2 meter glider.
Wanting a new car, I wandered into Mikes Hobby Shop (http://www.mikeshobbyshop.com) and ended up in the plane department, where this funny, wingie, thingie sitting on the counter caught my eye. A gentleman behind the counter explained the Zagi (http://www.zagi.com) to me and asked if I had seen one fly. We went to the parking lot on a very gusty day. He took a step and tossed it in the air and off it went. I was very impressed with his flying skills as he navigated this office complex, in these windy conditions. A few turns around the pattern and in for a nice sliding landing, dodging the parked cars right to my feet.
I had to have one!!!
And so, back into R/C, but with a twist...Electric. In the past Electric was more a toy than a serious hobby, and now holy cow!!!
If you have not flown an electric...you dont know what you are missing.
