I'm descended from the Jonathan Heacock that married Mary Evans and went to Canada West as Ontario was called at that time. Hence my Ultimate Family Tree page is titled Heacocks of Canada West. To go to the site just click on the name, the URL is really long. I'm interested in the entire family but of course I have done more research into my direct ancestors. I'm currently trying to find out what happened to John William Heacock, brother of my great- grandfather, Leander S. Heacock. I have no excuse for wondering about John William other than idle curiosity. John joined the US. Union Army in 1864 for a Michael House and although records show he was mustered out of the Michigan 10th Cavalry and returned to Jackson MI the family "lost" him, I understand this is not unusual for Civil War veterans. Many never returned to their families. If anyone could provide any information on John William please let me know so I can update my records.

I am descended from Jonathan Heacock & Ann Till through two of their children: William Heacock (1716-1800) who married Ann Roberts, daughter of Thomas & Alice Roberts, and Ann Heacock (1718-1799) who married James Morgan, son of John Morgan & Deborah Woodruff. These two couples both lived in Bucks Co., PA. William's son Jeremiah Heacock (1747-1797) married Ann's daughter Sarah Morgan (1747-1815). Jeremiah died in Chestnut Hill, Northampton Co., PA & Sarah in Millville, Greenwood Twp, Columbia Co., PA. Their son Josiah Heacock (1768-1847) married Jane Green, daughter of Samuel & Rachel Green. Their 12th child, daughter Lavina Heacock (1820-1862) married Michael Shoemaker in Greenwood Twp., Columbia Co., PA - they are my great-great-grandparents. I don't have a web page, but am interested in sharing information with any Heacock researchers.

Although I am not related to the Heacock family I live on part of the original parcel of land that Jonathon Heacock and Mary (Evans) Heacock homesteaded in King Township, Ontario. My research dealt originally with the date of the house but has now taken on a whole new meaning as so many descendants still live in the area. If you are interested in this aspect of the Heacock family I will be only too happy to share my information.

I am primarily interested in the Srigley "connection" to the Heacocks. Robert Srigley/Jane Heacock were my ggggrandparents. Their son Elisha Beman Srigley was my gggrandfather. Elisha's son Enos Wellington Srigley was my greatgrandfather. Enos'daughter Sarah Elizabeth Srigley was my grandmother

8. Edna Coghlin, Rochester Hills, Michigan,USA
Write me at Edna
Also descended through Jonathan III, Amos and Leander Heacock, then through William Isaac. NOTE: Edna is very interested in finding descendants of Leander S. as well as William Isaac Heacock. Edna is very energetic and ambitious and has been very helpful to me. She found "Emmanuel Kettleby" where Amos and Eunice (Hamley) Heacock were buried on her first trip in the King region. KSH
