Hana Yori Dango is the story of a poor girl, Makino Tsukushi, who goes to Eitoku High School (a school for the rich). The school is run by a group of 4 boys called the F4. One day, Tsukushi's friend falls down the stairs and lands on Doumyouji Tsukasa (the leader of the F4). Tsukushi, feeling angry at the F4's treatment of the kids in the school, yells at Doumyouji. After that, she is "red tagged". In other words, she gets set up for a school wide hazing. This story is essentially about her conflict with the F4 and her eventual acceptance by them.
