Wow those legs are good for something.

Looks as though I'm in a pretty darn good mood. Must be the outfit?

This is me & my beautiful mom
Lois Rae Martin Hatfield

At our house in Pa. I was a year old & by the look on my face that snowball was either plain old cold or tasted really funny.

Mom & me

Ok get aload of that hair cut & those bangs what was my mom thinking!

Kathy & the Bichon's

Anyway this is me & the Bichons that my grandmother raised, she also showed them.

This was taken in 1968 & was published in the Washington paper with a story on my grandmother.

Jean Rank
This lovely lady is my grandmother
Jean Rank. She was one of the first to have the Bichon Frise in the United States. So chances are if you have a Bichon it may be from her original dogs.

She lived in Washington, Pa. & her kennel's name was Rank's Big Oak Kennel. She later retired in Fla.

She was a big inspiration to me one of the most independent people that I know other than my mom. I love you grandma & miss you so.

This is my brother Donny on my pony So So his name was So Slow when we got him. But he wasn't slow so the name had to go!!

He was a pony with a personality, very smart & excellent with children a one in a million.

Donny

I had a great time with him until I got tall then it was time to change. He will always have a special place in my heart.

Oh geeze, would you look at those pants. & Donell is that a cowgirl outfit you have on? *SMILE*!!

Kathy, Etoile & Donell

This is my first horse. Her name is Etoile Du Nuite or Star of Night. At the time of this picture she was 20 months old. Her mother was a QH/Arab & father was a full Appaloosa.

I still have her. She is now 27 yrs old. When she grew up we had wonderful times riding the trails & racing the other horses. She loved to run & didn't like being behind ANYONE!!

This is my family. My husband Mike, myself & Jennifer. We have been married 25 yrs & our daughter Jennifer was 13 when this was taken. She's now 21

My Beautiful Family

Mike & Jennifer
The two wonderful people who share my life Jennifer & Mike

Here is a real quick life history.
As you know I was born in Pa. We lived in Washington, Eighty Four & McKeesport.

I liked it the best in Eighty Four. We lived at Linden Creek Farm where they raised Harness Horses. My stepfather was a blacksmith some call them farriers & he worked at the Meadowlands Race Track. So that's where I was whenever I could. The rest of the time I could be found around Linden Creek's horses.

We later moved to Apopka, Fla. where Don worked at the Ben White Raceway. I liked Fla. ok but missed Penn. I went to school at Bear Lake Elem., Teague Middle School & then Lake Brantley High.

In '76' my freshman year I moved to S. Carolina to live with my grandmother & attended Swansea High. I loved it there, I was back out in the country & there were horses everywhere. My wonderful grandmother was the one to buy me my first horse Etoile & I have of course had her ever since.

It was Etoile & my best friend Mary Anne (She knew everyone in town)
that lead me to meeting my husband Mike, his dad boarded horses so I took her there & well the rest is history. We were married 8 months later, then 5 yrs. later Jennifer came into our lives.

We are still living here in S. Carolina. With animals everywhere Mike calls it the zoo. We have 5 horses, 4 dogs, 4 parrots, 5 cats.
