Lankamalleswara Wildlife Sanctuary
One of the Andhra Pradesh's reseved forests, it covers an area of 464 sq. kms. The main habitat of the rare and endangered species of bird called Jerdons Couser,Lankamalleswaram is a verdant paradise with its thick tree cover, deep valleys, steep slopes and picturesque water falls adding to the scenic beauty of the place.
Red Sanders, an endemic species of timber, grows in htis area. To get a better glimpse of the abundant wildlife , watch towers have been built to provide nature lovers a spectacular view. The animals found here include Panther, Sloth Bear, Chital, Sambar, Chwsingha, Chikara, Nilgai and Fox.

The best season to visit is October to march.
