JWA Scouting Report

The JWA Scouting Report will on a semi-weekly basis take a look at a few individual wrestlers of the JWA. Keep in mind just because your wrestler is not reviewed this weektheres always next week.

The contents within the JWA Scouting Report are my views alone, and not the views of the JWA President Paul Chadman or any other JWA employees.

In this weeks report these five-JWA wrestlers go under the knife: Chad Hazzard, Abunai , Jose Gonzalez, The Lover and Sage.

Chad Hazzardthe clair hickThe last time I saw Chad Hazzard he was wheeling around on crutches with the likes of Sabotage. For those who dont know what Sabotage is or who comprised Sabotage well then your all the better off.

So you ask why was Chad confined to crutches and now hes been a JWA TV champion? Good question, but I think I can shed a little light into the situation. There was a match between Chad and WCIWA legend Chris Sherrill. In this match it is possible that Chris did injury Chads knee, but it was never believed to be career ending. And week in and week out Chad hammed up the injury for all it was worth.

I found it sick and quickly wrote Mr. Hazzard off as anything other then Sherrills lacky. So it was to my utter amazement when he showed up again and took the JWA TV title. I was expecting some form of trickery between Jose and Chad. Considering the two had been stable mates in the past, but that wasnt it at all. Chad Hazzard, had come to fight.

Hazzard, has taken on a whole new attitude towards the sport it appears and with the guidance of Lana Jones, also one of his former stable mates, he rose to the position of champion, and has many of this federations "superstars" breathing down his neck. People change, and so do opinions. Chad Hazzard could very well be your world champion at a date not too far away.

DangerGreat DangerIt took me awhile to warm up to Abunai. When he first showed up I didnt see anything particularly amazing about the guy. I found him bland in the interview room, and though he thoroughly dismantled the team of the ConvictsI wasnt overly impressed with the victory over the twowell lets face it less then mid-carders.

True a win over two-men is something to raise and eyebrow two, but come on the Convicts? Thats nothing compared to the Harvester of Pains feat in the WCIWA. When he single handily beat Chris Sherrill and Kevin Merrix (then A-Bomb) for the World Tag-Team titles. That was something I dont think any of us will see again.

Still in recent weeks Abunai has come to life. Almost as if this abrupt feud with Jackson Santee has brought something to life within him. Where once we had a mellow and calm AbunaiWe now have an Abunai who seems on the edge. Lashing out verbally at everyone, and throwing in just a hint of smack.

Showing amazing ring skills, resilience, and persistence Abunai has turned my thumbs down to a thumbs up. So far up in fact that this journalist sees a title in his very near future, and I wouldnt even be surprised if it was the world title.

Jose GonzalezWhere does one start with Jose? In the ring he does have his moments where hes untouchable, and these moments seemed more frequent in the past. Now however it seems as though the M.o.A propaganda has went to his head, and with what appears to be wavering mental problems Joses career has taken a nose dive.

It started off good back in 98 in the M.o.A created federationM.o.A The Federation. There he won an IC title, and seemed on the fast track to stardom. Before that he had been aligned with Sabotage in the WCIWA and fought little more then house shows and dark matches. Though amazingly aligning with the M.o.A in the M.o.A TF he improved leaps and bounds, and he was focused.

He was sent back down to the minor leagues though even before he was allowed to truly shine. Some speculate it was a condition Tommy Riley demanded before hed join with the M.o.A. A condition the M.o.A acceptedthough thats only hearsay. Yet, even in the minors he prospered, and at one time collected all a federations titles, unified them, and named it the My Title.

But it wasnt until recently that Jose reappeared in the majors. It was when the M.o.A was down to its last leg, and Jose was called up again, and as he did the first time he deliveredby winning the JWA TV Title. And he would go on to defend it successfully for the next month after that, but something had changed in Jose. Though he still had the same ring skills he wasnt right upstairs, and slowly gradually Jose has slipped further away from what he started off as.

Recently he made an appearance on Thursday Vengeance as Jose Sherrill. At first the commentator Biff Wellington thought it to be a mockery of Chris Sherrill, but it was more then that for it appeared Jose Gonzalez actually believed he was Chris Sherrill that night. I have to wonder how gone Jose is, and if theres any coming back? Then I have to wonder what caused this sudden mental crisis. Even more then thatdoes this mean this young athletes career has been cut short so suddenly? Time will tell.

The LoverAlix Barakusa.k.a The Lover. Hes amazing in the ring, and despite his anti-American slander he seems to have gained a small fan base. I am not among that fan base.

Not that I really have a problem with the kid, but something doesnt click with him. He has great mic skills, thats not the problemIt seems that The Lover isnt exactly sure what direction he wants to take. Weather he wants to be World Champion, T/A Champion, or TV Champion. With his young age he seems bewildered by all the choices that are now at his disposal. Maybe he comes off as a brat to me? No, really surrounding him like a group of servants are has his brother Chris Barakus (a notable tag-team wrestler), and his two valets Eve and Jessica Prophet (Guild member and ex-WCIWA wrestler)

First of all Jessica Prophet has more talent in her little pinky then that kid does in his whole body. No, really Jessica Prophet should be this kids manager and trainer. Not just some dressed um bimbo that he seems to want to portray her as. I guess thats more to the point why I dont like him. He has at his disposal some of the greatest AOWF talent around him. Jon Prophet, Jessica Prophet, and his own brother, and instead I see this kid suddenly turned pseudo leader. I dont know I dont buy it.

He can be as cocky and arrogant as he likes, but so far he hasnt been able to back any of it up, and maybe when he stops bashing other nations, and realizes he still has a long way to go before he can even fill his brothers shoes let alone Jessica or JonsWell maybe then that raw talent will be honed into a fierce wrestling machine.

SageI feel sorry for Sage. He seems like a truly confused guy. He grew up with the financial security most of us only dream about, but at the same time he tries to deny that financial success, but also use it

Yeah I know confusingHe doesnt truly like anyone to point out that he is rich or was spoiled, but hes quick to point out how much money he makes and gives away to charitieshuh? If he doesnt want to be perceived as rich then why gloat? Either leave your finances at home or chose to show them off. You cant have it both ways.

Something else. Sage has brought it to everyones attention that he runs some multi-million or billion or whatever company? Yeah, and if I believed that wouldnt have made it through Harvard. Thing is how can one possible have the time to run a companywait no a MULTI-MILLION dollar company and put the time in the ring thats necessary? Hes said that he didnt want to be one of those rich lazy bitches that sat around doing nothingOk so go hiking, or surfing, or pay someone to come wrestle you, or take a clue from a movie and buy an island and thenno nevermind.

Sage, dont waste our time. Either your a wrestler or your Bill Gateswhats it going to be? If your going to be a wrestler then I can see you going far, but if you insist on this multi-million dollar company deal well then youre going to fail. Simple as that.

Well after a long hiatus Ive returned. I thought as the JWA Intern President for the month of December it might be a nice gesture to give a little something back to the fans who enjoyed reading through my weekly Scouting Report.

I suppose I need all the good press I can get after the recent hostilities at this past Thursdays show. A show in which I gave Mercy a few options. And though I maybe spoke a bit too vehemently I dont think the crowd response was all together necessary. I love Bryan Mercy. From day one I let my feelings toward Bryan be known, but when he out right accused me of siding with the M.o.A, and looking the other way for themWell it hurt.

Bryan Mercy, has went through a change and over the last few months his activity in the JWA has dropped dramatically, and speculations have begun to surface as to weather or not President Paul Chadman is looking the other way for Bryan Mercy? Now I wont go into that as I believe its complete nonsense, but as the speculations grow the credibility of the JWA World Title begins to falter, and thats the last thing I want to see happen.

So before I allow Bryan Mercy to drag that title through the mud because hes angry or upset at another entities actions upon his person I will make him defend it. I will not allow the belt to die, and I will not allow President Chadman federation become a joke.

I am your friend Mercy. You only need let me help you. Thank you.
