History of Wrestler:

Gangrene was born in the small town of Siler City, North Carolina, though now he claims residence at the Devil's Tramping Ground, North Carolina. . . a natural phenomenon that occurs in the deep woods only a few miles from his home. . . However, this young boy by the name of Walter Pinninghast grew up a cold and isolated life. It was hard for him growing up without a mother and his father held deep contempt for him throughout his life. He grew up without any friends in his life and barely got through school. When he graduated and turned 18, his father was able to legally disown him, for he blamed his son Walter for his wife's death during child-bearth. Walter wandered around the East Coast looking for jobs but he didn't find anything special. He was constantly robbed and beaten up during his travels and learned to avoid instead of fight. However, as he walked by an illegal pit fight held in the back streets of Philidelphia one night on his way to his small apartment, he was sucked into the battle by crooked promoters and battlers. He was beaten brutally, having both legs, his right arm, his collarbone, and his 4th, 5th, and 8th vertebrae damaged and broken. He was found the next day on the concrete in a pool of blood by a homeless man who found it in his heart to get medical help for the boy of only 19 years of age. Walter was in the hospital for over a year, with multiple surgeries done on his neck. He was incredibly able to learn to walk and maneuver his body as well as he was before. He lost all of his belongings in his atttempt to pay for his medical bills as he got out, for he had no insurance. Walter, however, was a new person at age 20. He let his hair grow long and unkept and became more in touch with his Icelandic ancestry. He tatooed his arms with Icelandic messages. He converted his religious beliefs to the long disproved religion of the Norse people of the early millenium. He taught himself of the religion and it's dedication towards death in battle being the greatest way to die. Walter was living alongside the man who saved his life and got him to the doctor on that faithful day, a man who was a 73-year-old former professional wrestler by the name of Marrow. He never revealed his real name to Walter, and he took the name to the grave with him. Marrow taught Walter everything he knew about the art of wrestling day and night in their back alley home. The day of reckoning for Walter came when Marrow brought him to a small indy league called the RWA hoping to find jobs and money. Marrow was his behind the scenes manager and Gangrene did well in the league. However, the lust for the ring engulfed Marrow and he decided to enter the ring one faithful day at a house show in Indianapolis. Marrow recieved a gut-buster from a wrestler named Cronos, ending Marrow's life after he died from internal injuries. Gangrene was heart broken, and vowed to retire from wrestling. He became enraged with his life, and RWA closed. After 6 months, Gangrene came to a fed called NRW. He injured a man named Werewolf horribly on his way to winning every title possible in the federation. Gangrene moved to fed after fed as each fed closed down. Gangrene is still wandering, still hoping, still waiting for the day that he will die in battle and take his soul to Asgard where he can join his fellow man Marrow in eternal existence. . .
