Not just links, mind you, but whole documents can be cut/pasted to Notepad as the need arises.  Use a Notepad page to transport links or text, then discard the page-- or save it to your desktop with a name to remind you of what it contains.

I even keep a Notepad page titled "NOW" on my toolbar for instant use.
Cut/Paste User Tip
.
Illustrated
Add "Notepad" to your Quick Launch Tool Bar at the bottom of your Desktop.
Just Drag-n-Drop the
Notepad icon onto the toolbar in the position you wish.
Below is a picture of part of my own Tool Bar.
(I also set my toolbar to "Auto hide" and "Always on top" to make room on the screen.)
With Notepad you have a place to keep many URL's for use later--  in 5 minutes or at some later date.  Notepad is great for gathering the links you want to e-mail, like your jwebcards.  You will soon find Notepad indispensable on the Internet.
Since I am always gathering links for my sites, I need a "basket" in which to store the links until they are needed.  Notepad is perfect for the task, so it makes sense to keep Notepad handy.
