The Lamplighters
of
San Antonio, Texas
Return to Lamplighters Home Page
The band was started by trumpeters Jack Bush and Bob Lenneville, in the summer of 1994.  We were originally known as the "St Andy's Big Band", taking our name from St Andrew's Church Hall where the band continues to rehearse every Monday night.  In 1998 we became known as "The Lamplighters."

A true Big Band, we comprise 5 Saxophones, 4 Trumpets, 4 Trombones, a 4 piece rhythm section as well as a vocalist and musical director Dale Schultz, a trumpeter par excellence and the music director of the Burbank High School Band.

We play dance music from the '30s, through the Glenn Miller era, right up to the '90's and have performed at The Alamodome, Texas Folklife Festival, Southwest Crafts Center, San Antonio Country Club, Randolph A.F.B Officers' Club, Doubletree Hotel, Rivercenter Mall, Elks Club, Alzafar Shrine, Adams Mark Hotel and Hyatt Regency Hotel.
