George Clanton
Backup Lead Trombone
George hails from Chicago, where he came into the world right in the middle of the Second World War. His doctor reported strange facial gestures and repeated flexing of his right arm at the elbow. Later in life, it became apparent he was already hard at work developing his wonderful trombone techniques at an early age. George became a military musician in the Navy and graduated from the Naval School of Music in 1960. After his retirement from the Navy, George moved to San Antonio, where he is in high demand as a master carpenter and a very talented musician.
