This website is dedicated to my Great Great Grandfather John Mead Gould (1839 - 1930).
He was the Major of the 29th Maine Infantry Regiment during the Civil War, and believed in Patriotism, Hard Work, Morality and Justice for All.
His war diary has recently been published and is available through Butternut and Blue Books.
(Please note - I won't make a dime off the diary.)
I hope this website will live up to his ideals.
