Hi, and welcome to the poetry page. Below is years and years of written work, and is only a small sample of hundreds of pieces I have. Despite the overwhelming overtones, it isn't all about LOVE or lack thereof, it's just and easy thing to write about :P Enjoy !

What I need is beauty, pure unadulterated beauty. What I need must be like a flower, delicate yet strong versus adversity, sweet smelling, yet comly.
What I need is sense of being, not sense of going. What I need must stay, and be true; be likened unto a friend that never leaves, and never stops loving."
What I need is love, not just companionship but love. What I need is a kiss, gentle, wet not dry....sweet tasting lips, as sweet as honey to my tongue.
What I need is you, you who is the daughter of Eve, you whos heart is pure, chasted by white. What I need is your love, untainted and untouched so they I might be the first to enjoy your passion. Thats what I need.

I Can Hear the Crickets Chirping I can hear the crickets chirping All throughout the night Irritating as a lummox burping; But not causing so much fright. They rub their legs together To produce that annoying sound. Some say it’s cause of the weather Most believe they’re just “getting around.” The damn chirping keeps going Maybe stopping here or there ‘til the winds go stronger blowing And a chill fills the heavy air. I still hear the crickets chirping All throughout the day In my head my thoughts they are usurping I wish they’d just go away.

Brats I do not like those ridiculous sots They always annoy me to death So I yell at them and waste my breath Swipe at their faces, scold them with God’s graces I loathe those incorrigible tots. Those brats! They always cheat and steal Taking whatever they want and lying Scurrying off and always shying Away from the law, God punish them all Do more than sending them to bed without a meal. Brats. Brats all over this place Infesting it like cockroaches and vermin Creeping, crawling and worming A swarm of bugs that sting, a swarm that consumes everything Yet traipse off with an angelic face. If I could only smack them with my rolled up magazine Then the world would be so much more perfect Though I doubt that prison will be worth it Just have to hope they mature that the parents will take care of them, sure! I know that they were the same way when they were a teen.

To Say Beautiful Things Oh, to say beautiful things is a dying art Things, words and such that comes from the heart No one seems to care anymore Most humans live their love lives in a bore. They say such flaccid quips as “honey” and “dear” While age catches up to them year by year Nothing beautiful comes from their lips Nothing gentle rolls from their finger tips. Their palettes are dry with each kiss And even their attempts at simple love are amiss It will take one big miracle to bring them back To the art of beauty that they so lack. And so, sometime, words will mean something again And one shall proclaim “Let all the newborn love begin” Rivers of love shall flow from the heart Saying beautiful things like it was a new found art.

Untitled Please don't leave me In everyone's life there is somewhere who is very special, They might be a friend, a beau, or a lover, But no matter who they are.... they are special to the one that is cared for, And when that one special person is down...I'm down too.... When they're happy then I'm happy.... And when we're together I forget the dark raincloud over my head... But if we could never be together again...I would drown myself with tears. Please don't leave me... Love, joy, and happiness Why are we afraid of dying and death? It might just be the answer for all of us... Just think if you have no love...then there's death if you have no joy there's death, and if you have no happiness there's always Death... Death is always waiting for you when there's nothing else there for you.... But I don't want to die...I only want love, joy and happiness.... Your touch... Oh why do you mean so much to me? Your very voice sets me free. The touch of your hand sends shivers done my spine, and when you touch my cheek I feel divine. If only we could be alone, and I could show my affection too. Maybe we could share a kiss or two, and then snuggle up to keep warm. But if we never are alone and are not able to do these things, then know that when we're together my soul yearns for your touch. Untitled We sit and we type, and we stare at our screens We all have to wonder, what this possibly means. With our mouse we roam, through the rooms in a maze Looking for something or someone, as we sit in a daze. We chat with each other, we type all our woes Small groups we do form, and gang up on our foes. We wait for somebody, to type out our name We want recognition, but it is always the same. We give kisses and hugs, and sometimes flirt In IMs we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt. We do form friendships - but - why we don't know But some of these friendships, will flourish and grow. Why is it on screen, we can be so bold Telling our secrets, that have never been told. Why is it we share, the thoughts in our mind With those we can't see, as though we were blind. The answer is simple, it is as clear as a bell. We all have our problems, and need someone to tell. We can't tell real people, but tell someone we must So we turn to the 'puter, and to those we can trust. Even though it is crazy, the truth still remains They are Friends Without Faces, and odd little names.
