The 44th Infantry Divison

Page was created on 4 July 03 - Last update 26 Aug 03

This page is dedicated to the men of the 44th Infantry, 114th Infantry Regiment, Company I.

As long as someone remembers the 44th, and talks about it, the divison lives on. The pictures are from my dad's scrap book. When I was little he told me stories about the company I. I felt like I was part of the company. I have started World War II reenacting. I chose the 44th Division, 114th Regiment, Company I. Through my efforts I hope to keep the company alive and well. For those who have gone before, I hope to walk in your foot steps and be worthy to be a member of Company I.

The 44th was formed mainly on the east coast.

However, part of the training was done right here near Salina, Ks. Camp Phillips is where the troops called home.
