May 20 - 7:30 - The dialysis clotted as soon as it started, so after reconfiguring the machine it is now working OK.  They hope that tomorrow that they will be able to use the dialysis to get some of Jason's fluid off. Tomorrow we will discuss some experimental treatments. - Rob
Thank you all so much for your support.  We appreciate all thoughts, prayers, donations, cards, phone calls, etc. that have come our way.  These are very hard times right now , especially with the boys' birthdays coming up.    I love to hear and to tell stories, so please everyone keep in touch and do not be afraid to call us , stop over or to talk about Jason.  It brings me great happiness to continue to feel his presence.  Well, I just wanted to let everyone know if there is anyone out there who is still looking for something to do or has not made a donation that wants to, we are looking into naming one of the new Strong PICU nursing stations in honor of Jason..  They are getting ready to make up the signs so the time is now.  Donations can be sent to me or the hospital just be sure to include Jason Peter Smith so they know what to do.  I just spoke to the lady in charge today and I will be getting more information from her next week.  Love you all, just like Jason did!!!
I do not know if anyone still checks, but I thought that I would add an update about the nursing station.  The new Pediatric Intensive Care Uniit and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit are up and running.  They have to be among the top facilities in the world.  There is a nursing station named after Jason with a beautiful commemoration plaque.  I will add a picture if Ican.  I cannot believe that I am starting another year without my boy.  I am happy to have this site to come back to. Zachary is doing well in first grade.  He is still nto knights and swords.  Most excitingly, he lost hos first tooth the other day.  Yes, only his first one.  Well I wish everyone a very Happy and healthy New Year!!
