Watermead and surrounding area
One day at the start of the summer holidays, me and Clairey went to watermead and i nicked my dads camera to show people that the crap hole that is known as Leicester in England has some nice places too.
The other direction from the Mammoth hill, looking at the edge of Birstall
This is a picture of Birstall, on our little adventure i took a photo of this road we were walking down, cuz it looked nice!
This is a photo of the Mammoth.
(its not real!)
Sunset over the Thurmaston side of watermead.
A point when we were lost... so i took a photo of it... naturally
Birstall is a village on the edge of watermead, as is Syston and Thurmaston... i live in Syston, many of my friends live in and around Thurmaston and Birstall, and so very often watermead or 'The lakes' as they are known as are used as a meeting point for us lot.  One of the pictures below shows a mammoth on top of a hill, which is the main place where in the summer we meet up and chill out in the sun on the hill....
Watermead is huge, its miles across and miles long, which for a country park on the edge of a city is pretty impressive.  It used to be a quarry before it was converted into this park, and there is no way you'd ever guess it was man made because its been left to its own devices for such a long time.
