Day 19 and 20

 

 

What’s on for today:

 

Read pages 294-the end and discuss what happens.  What has Ferdinand learned through the tragic death of Miranda?

 

 

What to do: 

1)      Read pages 294-the end around in a circle

2)      Students will then discuss what happens

3)      What is the reaction to the lack of justice due

4)      Students will then be told that for their final project they will write their own screenplay to the ending of the novel

5)      Students will then break into 4 groups and write their own version of the ending. They can make believe that pages 294 and beyond never existed, or if they like the ending they can continue on from where the novel ended

Work on the script

 

The class was a success if:

 

-Students were able to make a creative ending for the novel which proves that they understand the characters, language, and themes of the book.
