Paper and Glass

He kisses the girl
and off they go
the credits roll
the end of the show

Its real here
On this cold world
The eternal shearch
For "the" one girl

Im trapped behind
this window I see
Forever knowing
You'll never see me

The paper burns
And i break the glass
Nothing there but shards
and ash

Through the window
Shines your grace
A lasting portrait
Of you face

A one way mirror
Im looking through
You cant see me
But I see you

The paper eyes
Look back at me
Deep down I know
They cant see
Our Song
Verse:
The view of your eyes
shakes my being
If they could see
Just what Im seeing

Forbiden are these
feelings I share
No one to see
This load I bare

Chorus:
Come on now
Please take my hand
Lay with me
And watch Gods hand

Stay with me
Just a little while
Take a plunge
Go on, walk that mile

I want you to know
I love you true
If I only
I could be with you

Verse:
The pain, Oh how
It does tear my soul
On this search
To fill this whole

My lifes breath
I would gladly give
Just to know
That you will live

Bridge:
You are the end
Of all my roads
The only on
I long t hold

End:
Now come with me
And dont be shy
The road is short
For those who ask why?
Jessica, something for you to look at.
Dear Jessica,

Hello, these are my writings. Please do not steel them. I trust you with them. Take a look and see what you think. Please email me with any questions or coments about them.
I am a guitarist/song writer and i wish more than anything to become someone some day. Either a rock musician or even just to write songs for others to sing. Kind of like Phil Vassar. I know im nowhere near as good as him though. PLease take a look and email me, even if you dont like them. Criticism just makes me work better. It hurts at first but it helps more in the end. So even if you hated them and want to cut them down please email me and let me know. Be honest. Thank you.

Shallow:

Verse:
I had my best friend
Over one night to play
We ruled the world
Nothing was in our way

He was alittle older
Only about a year or so
He wasnt the smartest
And that night he had to go

Pre-chorus:
My dad looked at me
Not knowing he could hear
"Thank God you're not like him
I have a good one here."

Chorus:
How does it make you feel?
Hurting his pride like that
How has it broke your heart?
Or are you too shalow for that

He heard every word
How absurd
He's disturbed

Verse:
I didnt like his tone
Or what he had said
He had heard it all
And was crying on my bed

He started for home
Dreading what was to come
I watched as he left
At the window, my body numb

Bridge:
Look how he has been scared
Dont tell me your life is hard
I look around and all i see
Is thier faces looking back at me
they are so fond and warm
and I endulge thier every swarm

others lurk in the mistes
as they pass another kiss
all i want is that joy
days of when I was still a boy

Oh these carless being are
those that kept me sain thus far
and with eterity more will come
and i will greet everyone

Leave the pain at the door
You wont need it anymore
Look inside and you will see
All that he has given thee

These that swim inside my mind
Leave the rest far behind
Those were the days of our youth

Verse:
We had a band
werent very good
never played a gig
we thought we could

times have changed
we are all older
in these shadows
everythings colder

our glory days are gone
now a part of the past
you know, deep down
we all thought they'd last

Now with a heavy heart
My tears I dismiss
I would have never thought
It would come to this

Chorus:
Oh, lord. How could end
In our world of pretend
Never felt pain hurt so bad
All those dreams we all had

Now the rain poors on my head
Time slips slowly, till its dead

Verse:
its not the same
with no one left
there's no on to blaim
for this theft

and now as i pass
into my manhood
i still remember them
as we all should

and if the lord
shall grant me a son
I will say, live your life
there is only one

I will alway remember
those days of my youth
thier joy and kindness
their love and thier trueth
Katie Ann

With an unquechable thirst for more

Look at what hes done to me
Look at the hell I've seen
Look at what he stole from me"
Open up your eyes and see
No way Icould be free

She shivers there in her hidding place
Another year addded to her face

Gave all to her to keep her quite
Once more confronted and denies it
