Well, damn if it isn't Harm's boy investigating Lieutenant Isaaks's sexual harassment complaint. I had just trapped and was taxiing in when I saw him, watching, remembering I'm sure. It was such a waste of a promising Naval aviator when he was diagnosed with night-blindness. And to become a lawyer! I often wonder what Harm would think about that turn of events.
Rabb's new partner is definitely a looker, but a little too stiff and by the book for my tastes. Of course I have yet to find a Marine with a sense of humor.
This whole thing is being blown way out of proportion, but Rabb knows how things work. I can only hope that he can temper his partner's enthusiasm a bit. I can tell that she's ready to pounce on the merest hint of prejudice. Well, hell, I may not approve of women in combat, but my decision was made on Isaaks's lack of flying skills, not her sex. If only these PC bureaucrats could see that!

As if the situation couldn't get any worse, now there's a United States Congresswoman involved. She managed to pull all sorts of strings and get Admiral Drake to order me in reinstate Isaaks's flight status. What does it take to get through to these people? A body? Two? The question isn't when she's going to kill herself, but how many people she's going to take with her. I refuse to stand by and watch people die unnecessarily. I've made my decision to resign my commission after tonight's intercept mission. I've dedicated my whole life to the Navy, but I don't feel I can serve any more. Not when they won't let me protect my people.

Lieutenant Isaaks died tonight after striking the ramp. Her death is a tragedy, but it should never have been allowed to happen. The only redeeming part of the whole incident is that Skates, who I personally asked to be her RIO, was able to eject in time.
The mission started off well and I must admit that Isaaks showed some good flying. But when she approached, for some reason, she decided to fly manually and hit the deck. I watched the whole thing from my plane and the fireball was like a bad nightmare. Lieutenant Isaaks did not have to die. She didn't die serving her country. She died because she was too proud to admit that she couldn't do something. Instead she used her gender to manipulate the system and that got her killed. May she rest in peace.
