MICKEY
Many of us have been lucky enough to know "Mickey", under
one name or another;  to me, the accompaniment for her story
      should be arranged as light country rock.
Mickey was a tomboy; Mickey was a flirt;
One bare foot, one boot, a dirty shirt;
Mama always tried, but Mickey was a mess;
Mickey was a sweetheart, Mickey was a pest.

She was a rockin' girl; she was a rockin' girl;
On a wooden horse, ridin' through the west;
A sight to make her daddy like to bust his vest;
She was a rockin' girl!

She was good in math class; she was great at bat;
Swam like stone, but climbed trees like a cat;
Still a bit of tomboy, still a bit of flirt;
Ev'ry inch a girl, in blue jeans or a skirt.

She was a rockin' girl, she was a rockin' girl;
Really wasn't shy; knew she looked her best;
A sight to scare a young man to a happy death;
She was a rockin' girl!.

Mickey looked a Bobby; Bobby looked at her;
Took a while 'til both of them were sure;
They kept warm all winter, tied the knot in June;
Diff'rent times in life, we rock to diff'rent tunes.

She's still a rockin' girl; she's still a rockin' girl;
Baby in her arms, nursing at her breast;
A sight to make an angel stop to catch his breath;
She's still a rockin' girl!

She's still a sight to make her daddy like to bust his vest;
She's still a sight to scare a young man to a happy death;
She's still a sight to make an angel stop to catch his breath;
She's still a rockin' girl!
