Now I'm not one to say keep America white.... oh hell no... I believe in diversity.... But I don't like what Bush has to say about granting illegal immigrants rights.... HELLO!!! WE DON'T ALLOW CONVICTS RIGHTS WHEN THEY'VE BROKEL THE LAW!!! WHY SHOULD WE MAKE THE EXCEPTION HERE!!!
Of course, maybe we should look at it a different way... Maybe if we say it's okay for companies to employ illegal immigrants, the companies will stay here and not move over seas looking for other sources of cheap labor... Yet the funny thing about that is that Bush wants to give these illegal immigrants rights when they're working the low-paying jobs... And companies can still go elsewhere to get cheaper labor in countries that don't have the minimum wage standard like we do..
When Bush says he's wanting to grant these rights so low-paying jobs that American's won't work can be filled I can only shake my head in dismay wondering just how stupid this man is.... It's not that American's won't work these jobs... They can't... They can't because these jobs do not pay enough.... Working a full time job that pays minimum wage brings in enough for you to barely survive... If you have a spouse.... That spouse will have to work... If you have children (With or without a spouse)... You're screwed....
I don't care how much they raise minimum wage... As soon as they raise it, the price of everything else goes up.... So you're stuck in the same situation....
Yet these immigrants that are working (even legally)... They pool their resources as a family... And barely make it... They're even more hirable for these low-paying jobs because employers know they keep can keep these individuals at a lower pay and get away with it.... If your state has affirmative action... The employers can get away with putting out less for the wages by having your state pick up the tab... The way this work is "Hire this minority.. we'll pay half their wages...."
What I really think is going on here is that Bush may be trying to publically gain support for this idiotic measure while secretly gaining corporation support for allowing them to employ illegal immigrants... Either way no one is thinking it through.... Well no one is thinking period...
Pay Americans (no matter what color they are) enough to live off of.... They'll find Americans willing to work any job... There would be no need to give illegal immigrants rights or cut companies some slack on this issue... If people from outside this country wanna work here... They can immigrate here legally....
My point is.... Take care of the Americans that are here legally first!!!!!!
