Operation We Want Oil
** In My Opinion **

Once upon a time the United States supported a man named Saddam Hussein.  He came into power over a lil' country called Iraq.  He seemed good.  He seemed right.  Then the jerk became a dictator bent on his way or the highway (leading to some not very nice places).

Yet funny enough we didn't care until it kind of interfered with oil... Apparently Iraqi's only redeeming feature to us.  Now we need to be concerned.

So we headed on over there in Desert Storm, eventually tucking our tails between our legs and runnin'.  And now we're back there again.

Granted, it ain't fair to scream at our soldiers over there... Not like they had a choice... But the idiots that sent them there...

Think about it.

So Saddam was making weapons of mass destruction?  And these are where?  Shortly after the second war ended they said they found some trailers of mobile labs... The thing about that whole story is that the U.N. had already inspected there... hmm... Don't you think as the U.N was leaving they might notice some trucks driving back in?  What kind of idiots do we have in that place?  Yet I should point out that those were only trailers... and no weapons have yet to be found... which was most of the justification why that we went to war in the first place...

Then there was this little thing about Saudia Arabia... Yeah... At first they told us no we can't use them to launch our assault... But as soon as we said their princess or something contribued to Al-Queda... they said yes...

And then there's Jordan... Jordan said we couldn't use their land, airspace, etc... but yet in that Rebuilding Iraq Financial Package we're giving them money... Why?  Something's seems a little fishy here... Paying them off to advocate for us in that region?

One of the first things we did when we one was to secure the oil fields... Shouldn't we care about other areas first?  Then of course as soon as we got ahold of that country... Everyone else wanted a piece of that pie...

Then there's Britian's involvement... This I find interesting... Most of the press I was reading before was not in support of going to war with the U.S. as allies... then someone released a story saying Britain would run of gasoline in a few short years... the rest is history...

I'm still not sure 'bout this whole Iraq thing... I don't like it.  I don't like the way we did it... And I definately don't like the b.s. excuse given since they haven't released that they found any evidence.  Sometimes I wonder if the whole Iraq war was being used as some sort of staging point for another war... or something to show that we're a bunch of big bad bullies... or maybe we just didn't like the price of oil from that area... So we decided to go and take over a country in that region to get a better deal...

I'm not saying Saddam was a good man... oh heck no... and I agree with the fact that he needed booted out of his seat... I just think the motives are way to open-ended.
