Information
Valteira is an Ancient
Dragon, and he's one of those characters that never appeared in the
novels
but only in the anime called SLAYERS TRY...meaning that he's really
not supposed to be there. But anyway, screw that, he's important anyhow...

His race was killed by the Gold Dragons because they got afraid that
the Ancient Dragons would increase in number and then become the strongest
of all the ryuzoku (literal translation of ryuzoku: dragon race)...
you see the selfishness there?!? @o@
Anyway, Valteira was the only survivor among his race and when the
Gold Dragons knew that he would soon die, they just left him in the
middle of a desert. Soon, Maryu-ou Gaav found him and he easily sympathized
with this Ancient Dragon, giving him a choice to live and have revenge
or die without any purpose. Valteira agreed to live and become one
of Gaav's minions, more of like a general-priest.
Valgarv
was very loyal to Gaav and was really enraged because of his death.
Now
here's something to ponder: Mei-ou Fibrizo was the one who ruined
Gaav, so why is Valgaav blaming Lina Inverse?!
Anyway, he agrees to the fact that the world
should start all over again because as sort of "earthlings",
they're caught up in the middle of the fight between Light & Darkness
(Shinzoku & Mazoku respectively). He agreed to help Alumace to
search for the 5 weapons of Dark Star (Golnova, Mezard, Mordigard,
Lagdomizeigis & Gal Vaila), one of which is Gourry's Hikari no
Ken (which happens to be the Golnova). By having those 5, he could
summon Dark Star to destroy everything so that the world could start
all over again without Shinzoku & Mazoku interfering. However,
after having summoned the Dark Lord, he was eaten up by it and made
contact with it & Volfield (is he included? as I remember it...).
They lost the battle when Lina (holding Gal Vaila), Filia (she represents
the power of the Shinzoku), Xelloss (he represents the power of the
Mazoku), plus Serius, Gourry, Zel & Amelia (they're holding the
4 other weapons,). Having been able to succeed, they thought that
Valgarv was gone and they were thinking that they really won but how
come
they feel like they're the ones who lost? Soon, Valgarv was reborn.
He was to start all over again. ;_; (I hate the ending of Slayers
Try...-__-).
Valgarv has 2 allies: Jiras & Gurabos. Both are loyal to him and
maybe you could point out that those 3 really got along because they
had traumas from their past. ^^ When bored or got nothing else to
do, he plays with his clackers...you know, those 2 red balls on 2
strings tied on a stick and then you make them hit each other by moving
the stick??? (I happen to have one of those and it does help me relax...-_-).
Filia is the one who somewhat truly understood everything about him.
The moment he mentioned about his past and what happened, she was
the one who got too much concerned that it almost drove her nuts.
When opening the passageway so that Dark Star could finally enter,
he got Filia, making her hold the Lagdomizeigis and telling her to
destroy the world (so that Filia would think that she's the one who
really did it, so that guilt might drive her insane...).
