Wicca is a neopagan religion ( a new form of paganism ).Create in the middle of the 20th century by Gerald Gardner , it become more and more know .Now it is the most know form of neopaganism , more accessible and probably the most practice.I think wicca is the pagan path always critic by other practionner of paganism.Why? Simply because of what it is , because of is belief and is founder who was not a perfect man.People forgot an important thing : Gardner bring neopaganism out from is medieval fear , it became accessible and know by thousand of people.With the appearence of wicca , a lot of neopagan form appear too ,if Gardner didn't do it , things will probably not what they are today.He is the first man who really do something with a bit of intelligence.Wicca have change with time , it's not exactly the same thing it was with Gardner but it mostly stay the same.. Wicca is consider as a religion , a way of life by some.Like in anything , information are easy to find but we must be carefull about it.Everything is not true.Let's summarize the principal characteristic : Founder : Gerald Gardner +- in the middle of the 20th century Ethic : the three fold law and the wiccan rede ( not create by Gardner ) Degree of initiation : +- a form of clergy with 3 degree : initiate (1), priest(2nd) and high priest(3) 8 religious feast or sabbat which form l the wheel of the year ( wich represent the changement of the earth ex. soltice or equinox ) A lot of different tradition ( most of them are recent ) The tradition of wicca are mostly all new.I don't know any rule of creating a new one or a time of practicing.Which mean new tradition are always create and the list below is probably not complete but I try to find most of them .If you wish to add yours or new one I should add , feel free to e-mail me .It will be welcome.
