The law of three is sometimes call karmic law , law of three or three fold law .It is a part of wicca , a kind of ethic with the rede.It mean this : everything you do , good or bad , will be back three times.Exemple : if you hurt someone , three bad thing will happen to you , if you help someone , three good thing will happen.For me the meaning of the three fold law is : before doing something , take the time to think about it ,if you are sure do it .The real message is : do not do to other what you don't want they do to you.And of course the subtle message is do not hurt.I can't find the origin of it but the principle is very old.
For me (it's my personal opinion remember ) it's more closer to supperstion.Exemple , if you hurt someone , you are so sure that something will happen to you ,something happen and you automatically do the connection with your action.Most of the time , it's just a coincidence , a previous action can't necessary change your future , specially something that have to happen anyway.But I have to said this ethic is a good thing , you have to think before doing anything and in some situation , this is helpfull.
