Poppy's Page

Thank you to Bee for my lovely Poppy picture above... awwww :)) I love it.

Poppy is my beloved little cat---- in fact she is the best cat in the world as I tell her every day. I rehomed her when her previous family decided they didn't want to keep her. She was afraid of her own shadow when I got her. I just don't think she was cut out to be a family cat in a house full of noisy children. She spent her first week under my bed, and I even took her food up to my bedroom to make sure she wasn't afraid to venture out to eat. By the end of the first week she was sleeping on the end of the bed, coming to see me for a cuddle when she knew I was awake. She tentatively explored the whole house... she found out how stairs worked about 3am one morning and had a lovely time running up and down them. Now four years on she is a settled contented little cat, but very much a one person cat- ie me her Mummy Person. She is still nervous, but if someone visits she will come and see them now once she knows they are OK. She has never been too keen on my brother though- she hissed at him a couple of times recently when he came to stay. Though admittedly on one occasion he did pick her up which even I am not allowed to do! But when it is just Poppy and myself, she purrs her little head off, likes to be in the same room as me and sleep on the bed with me at night. I call her my little angel Cat cos she is!

Here are some Poppy pictures.
