An academically successful college student is punctual. While one cannot maintain their punctuality indefinitely, success is highly dependent on one's willingness to be on time. A student might wake up late, or get stuck in traffic. However, this shouldn't be a common occurance. The student should learn from the experience and adjust -- Set two alarms, Leave earlier. A successful college stuent must also be goal-oriented, including short and long-term goals. This involves prioritizing and allocating events in one's life. Having goals will help a student make decisions. For example, a student may have difficulty choosing whether to attend a party. What if his goal was to get an A in history class? Then he might prefer skipping the party to study. If his goal was to make friends, however, attending the party would be in his best interests.
