Public versus Private (Christian) Schooling?

From an Australian concept.

Firstly we are all born with no knowledge of God, and as we grow we only learn about God because someone passed this belief system on to us. This could be Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity etc, depending in which country we were born in. The whole concept of Christianity is this false notion that they have to convert the masses into believing in Jesus because that is what they themselves believe and they have never taken the time to check it out. Talk about the blind leading the blind. If Christians only exercised a little thought instead of believing blindly then they wouldn't be Christians. While they keep reading and listening to what they already agree upon, then they never learn anything different or new.

The world council of Churches through the ecumenical movement is trying to implement the gospels to industrial, social, political, educational and international affairs. The primary focus of education should be to foster and promote academic skills, in all areas of education, and not to brainwash children into an ancient belief system of superstition known as Christianity. The function of Christian schools is to have parents believe that Christian values are important in today's society. It's almost like pre Christian religions had no moral code. Christianity as Catholic is only a new religion, less than 2000 years old and Christians as Protestants about 600 years old when compared to ancient religions. Also many people with no religion at all live moral life styles. Children are vulnerable from an early age, and it is the purpose of Christian schools to instill into the young the belief in God with Jesus as God incarnate. They also instill the fear of Satan into their young minds, and that if they don't become a Christian and believe that Jesus is their lord and saviour they will eventually be punished when they die, in the eternal flaming fires of Hell forever. Forever here means forever, not just a lifetime but for billions and billions of years. This could also be considered a form of mental abuse in today's society. Can you imagine a supposed loving God punishing people like this?

Schoolteachers are educators of young people. A teacher should have a solemn responsibility to teach children truth, otherwise they are not a teacher, nor an instructor but a miss-leader of the mind and an enemy of truth.

All teachers like scientists should be prepared to change as new facts appear to alter past events, but do they? I believe that in reality the Christian school is out to teach the youngster the dogmas and superstitions of its beliefs. There is nothing academic in this type of tuition.

Christian schools also do not tolerate other belief systems. In fact they will have you believe that believers of other religions are lost souls, and that they have been snared by Satan and will be punished in Hell if they don't convert to Christianity.

Is this democratic teaching? Doesn't the law of our land state that we have freedom of religions? This is divisive and fosters bitterness and intolerance and is a form of domination and control.

The student is led to believe that Satan is the god of this secular world, and Satan is continually tempting them into the secular world where they will eventually forsake Jesus and fall into damnation and Hell.

They are taught that they need the supposed Jesus to set them free from the original sin of Adam and Eve. It is this supposed original sin that makes them born sinners, and that Jesus is the only one who can set them free. If the Christian school does not teach this, then there is no need for a virgin birth so that Jesus would be born sinless, and therefore there would be no need for Jesus.

Christian education is a defilement of self- image, it fosters obedience to Christian authority, and it teaches children to suppress natural desires and to abandon secular reasoning and to focus solely on the bible.

We need secular public schools today more than ever, to educate the children of today on the history of violence brought about by religion. While religions exist there will always be violence. Christian schools suppress the truth of religious history such as persecution, torture, and the burning at the stake which was there own making, and today they try to promote a clean image. They don't want you to look into the past history of the Church, because you would find such things as bigotry, slavery, discrimination, repression, and endless violence in the name of blasphemy and heresy. Christianity claims it is the only religion, which has the truth, so then, let the truth be revealed.

Why is it in a so-called democratic country such as Australia, which is supposedly a country striving for equal rights, that Christian schools can discriminate when it comes to hiring staff? Applicants must have Christian values and be committed Christians to obtain teaching positions. Our present government sanctions this discrimination.

Are Christian schools exempt from paying payroll tax? If this is so, why should this be allowed? I'm including Catholic schools here as well, as they all brand themselves as Christian. Protestants would disagree as to whether Catholics are 'true Christians'. Pentecostals would also question whether churches outside of their own ranks were 'truly Christian'.

Why pour taxpayers money into private Christian brain washing sorry, I mean 'education'? (Private education is a sneaky way of saying Christian school in most cases) This money should be used to fund an inquiry into the truth of Christianity's New Testament and this whole God business. I wonder which government would have the guts to take that on, instead of being yes men to the power of the Church.

What a great day it will be sometime in the future when all belief systems will be seen for what they are, no more than ancient mythology and a means of controlling man. Imagine if you will all money that is now poured into the coffers of the church being used to feed the starving masses in third world countries. I believe that a helping hand is far more functional than lips that pray. This could be seen as a major step to world peace. One has to wonder who is pulling the purse strings behind the scenes?

Also worth a mention, the newly elected Primate of the Anglican Church in Australia, Archbishop Peter Carnley, made a public statement and I quote, "Christianity is not the only religion that leads to God". Many followers branded him a heretic after this statement and boycotted the Sydney church. My question is. If all other religions led to God, then who needs Jesus? Are they calling the supposed Jesus a liar when he supposedly stated in the New Testament. "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." and "I and the Father are one."
