Do Christians Sin?

To those who believe in a God and that the New Testament bible is the inerrant word of God, then there are many things the New Testament state that are serious sins, which today's Christian overlooks as these sins do not appear wrong from a contemporary view point.

Clergy today should be reminding their congregations that contemporary viewpoints are a matter of custom and convenience and are not the word of God.

Today's liberal Christian tends to follow blindly the values of contemporary society especially in regards to questions of morality, such as divorce, remarriage, adultery, birth control, gambling, social drinking and smoking etc. After all a Christian's body is supposed to be the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit.

If you believe in God and the bible, then God's word should stand supreme over contemporary lifestyles, God's word should never be considered as being out of date or old fashioned, but should be seen as timeless and unchangeable.

Sin according to the bible no matter how small hardens a person's heart and makes him insensitive to moral feelings. Sin draws one away from Godliness, Isaiah 59:2 "Only your sins have separated you from God". Small sins beget larger ones, and all sin is a rebellion against God.

The sin that a person treats lightly and overlooks as insignificant will be the ones that surround them on Judgment Day.

One cannot steal something (for examples infringe copy written material such as photocopy books, dub audio and video cassette tapes, and music.) Firstly this is breaking the law, and is effectively stealing royalties from the Author and Publisher of these works, and the money that is saved in this illegal practice often goes into the collection plate of the church as a service to God. Psalm 10:3, "The robber blesses (in so doing) but scorns God". Sin thus reduces the merit of one's good deeds.
