The town of
Madison, located in the heart of Madison County, begins its historical place in
the development of New York State, sometime in the late 18th
century. One of the earliest records
available through these pages regards a time when Madison was not yet its own
town, and Madison County had not yet been named.
In this
website, hopefully you will find bits of information that are useful to your
own trees, branches, and curiosity.
These pages are, in no way, related with findagrave.com, rootsweb.com,
ancestry.com, or tgn.com. I would
recommend, to anyone interested in building a research database of their own,
NOT to use any web space offered, by any of the aforementioned resources, as
these services are not secure, and can be destroyed by administrators who would
like to save, destroy, and claim your work as their own, at a later time. Unfortunate but true, and this type of leech
is not worth the time it takes to say plagiarism, born of worthlessness.
Enjoy your time here, and my best
wishes to you, in that you will make some discoveries.
