First gold nugget found by Tom Van Vleet with metal detector

Depth approx 4 inches in a bedrock crack
Signal was very soft, barely noticeable above threshold hum
Nugget is a specimen, gold in white quartz
It took Tom 3 years to find his first metal detected gold nugget
