WHAT WE DO IN MNC

In the MNC organization we are, and will be, working to build aims to guarantee genuine freedom for all Maldivian people in conditions of peace, national unity and a shared destiny. All of this would signify, that after our long and painful experience of supremacy, suppression, and oppression, we will continue to work perpetually, to realise the goals set in our Constitution of building a prosperous and democratic society.
These changes also mean that in time, we will succeed to eradicate the terrible legacy of supremacy, which continues to define our society. This would also mean that we are determined to ensure the dignity and the rights of our working people, the children and the elderly. Without the revolutionary goals we have set for ourselves, we would never be able to determine the correct tasks that would enable us to gradually reform our society to reflect the revolutionary perspective we have chosen.
If we Maldivians do not engage the task of reforming our society in daily struggle, we will not be able to effect the metamorphosis for which so many of our people, who have wasted or sacrificed their lives during the centuries, struggled for our genuine freedom.

The MNC's leadership, when in power, will provide increased expenditures to meet the needs of the people. This includes; additional funds for such social grants as old age pensions, the child support grant, as well as goods and services in the areas of health insurance, nutrition, education, housing, water and electricity, etc... in a MORE affordable manner .
If it had been deliberately impoverished or marginalised by the previous social order, which considered these thousands as the poverty; this would give concrete expression to the objective of MNC to meet the needs of the people. Which this, itself, is based on recognition of the imperative that a democratic society has a responsibility to intervene to improve the quality of life of the thousands of Maldivians in the Maldives.

The MNC's task is the further improvement of the democratic country's machinery, to enhance its dimension to meet its evolvement in social obligations and effectively implement the policies and programmes for the reformation of our beautiful Maldive Islands. Ensuring access to health services is one of the basic qualifying factors for government to fulfill, which has not been achieved yet after 25 years!

Can we just concentrate on redistributing wealth through increasing social expenditures, without attending to the central matter of the creation of the new wealth we need, to achieve the goal of a better life for all Maldivians? It is understood to advance and address issues of equity and social justice, the government must play its role of stewardship for health care and that includes health services provided by the private health sectors which have, so far, not yielded the desired results.

We will strive and join hands to build a new society that will work continuously to ensure that every person in Maldives, regardless of geography, gender, class and age, achieves all-round material and spiritual fulfillment.

The tasks we set in the Reconstruction and Development Programmes would be: meeting the basic needs of all Maldivians, the extension of the frontiers of freedom, the expansion of the frontiers of human fulfillment, democratising the state and the society, the creation of a people-centered society, building back the economy and developing human resources.
Most of all our goals would be to change a society that for centuries had been based on the pursuit of the selfish interests of a few, at the cruel and costly expense of the overwhelming majority. Central to the value system of the old order was the pursuit of personal material gain by the dominant, and the abuse of the dominated as nothing else but sub-human agents to be used for the material benefit of the dominant.

We Maldivians have been together on this very journey, because we all share that same vision, and the same road. We will continue, day by day and year by year, to translate the resources at our disposal and the opportunities before us, into human fulfillment and freedom.

We Maldivians must remember now, that we have walked a long way together, a step at a time, on our long journey towards growth, towards learning, towards reconstruction, towards prosperity, towards the progress and development, and most of all towards our freedom."We look forward for the special Majlis to approve multi-party system in the Maldives for our legal registration of MNC as a party."

MNC strongly believes that'Laws must be made in the parliament by the representatives of the people'.
