The languages for the conference are English and French. There will be no
simultaneous translation, but English-language abstracts will be provided.
Where possible we shall circulate papers in advance.
The format for presentation of papers will be: Each speaker has 20
minutes, followed by 10 minutes for discussion.
We shall place as many papers and summaries as possible on the website
before the Conference. The Proceedings will eventually be published in book
form.
Relevant source documents are published in the Archive section of
this website.
Our intention is that this conference will be a beginning, leading to
future activities. A rolling programme of discussions and conferences. Perhaps
a series of nomadic seminars.

holding a half-day seminar on “The Political Meaning of the Recent Events in
