THE KID READS | ||||||||||||||||||||
The latest piece in the art exhibit is the life size kid reading. Sitting on
any chair, it really doesn’t matter the book as long as we get to the words.
Finding adventures and stories within the pages, kids love to read and they read more when encouraged. |

THE ARTIST | ||||||||||||||||||||
Jodi Jill, artist of the Images of Literacy and the director of the Quit Whining and Read!
Literacy project, is a professed book-o-holic hoping to share
her joy of reading with
others. Focusing full time on the opportunity to share with others the life of words, she
has been actively presenting the art
exhibit and talking about literacy around the country. During her childhood years, she lived in a storage shed for ten years. Her only escape from the situation was books she got from the library, as she was not allowed to attend school or interact with other people. The only problem was she could not read. Using audio books, she taught herself to read very slowly. After much struggling she began to catch on to the symbols and refused to stop. The books she found opened new worlds that took her miles away. You can reach her at Jodi@quitwhining.com or check out her other sites! |
