ON GHOSTING STATION

1.   Click: Start, PROGRAMS, SYMANTEC GHOST,MULTICAST SERVER
2.  On Multicast Server screen, check LOAD TO CLIENTS
3.  SESSION NAME:  (Make something up, i.e. abc)
4.  IMAGE FILE:  Make sure that DISK is checked, Click on browse, choose dell3800_xircom_
5.  CLIENT COUNT:  1
6.  Click on accept clients
 

ON LAPTOP

 NOTE:  If battery dies you must start over!!  Always plug in when ghosting.
1. Click on multicasting
2. MulticastSESSION NAME to join
3. When laptop finds IP address, enter SESSION NAME (i.e. abc)
4. Click OK
5. Destination Drive Details, Click OK
6. Proceed Click YES (approx ETA ½ hour)
7. Transfer complete, ClickOK
8. Pop disk out of laptop
9. Click on RESET COMPUTER

NOTE:  You first must have a Symantec Ghost boot disk configured for the Network Card that is in the laptop.  If you do not have one refer to How To Make A Ghost Boot Disk on how to create one.
