The Great Rumpuscat
All Hail And Bow To The Great Rumpuscat!
The Great Rumpuscat is the hero of the lyrical poem The Pekes and the Policles that Munkustrap recites at the Jellicle Ball. The Rumpuscat is a fierce creature with eyes like fire and a sleak black coat. He usually has a large "R" on the front of his coat, very much in the Superman style. He also has a mane of hair (not as fluffy as Rum Tum Tugger's) that he can set on edge to frighten Policles, Pugs, Poms and Pekes. He is something of a legend among the Jellicles, and all the cats regard him as a hero. Usually, the part of the Great Rumpuscat is played by Plato.
