Olivia Newton-John was born in Cambridge,England Sepember 26,1948 and moved to Melbourne,Victoria in Australia at age five. She took up singing at a young age listening to records by jazz/blues legend Nina Simone among others. She entered a local talent contest and won,was a temporary replacement host for a local Australian TV childrens show and had a minor role(and singing "Christmas Time Down Under") in an Australian TV movie entitled "Funny Things Happen Down Under." She and freind Pat Carrol performed as "doublettes" in the late '60s.After her 1970 apperance in the now defunct band and movie "Toomorrow" she was recruited by British pop icon Cliff Richard for his BBC-TV musical variety show and 1971 TV movie "The Case."She first found fame in the early 1970s with such hits as "If Not For You," "Let Me Be There," "If You Love Me(Let Me Know)" and "I Honestly Love You."You know her as Sandy in "Grease" and Kira in "Xanadu." The rest is history.
Olivia is also the proud mother of her daughter Chloe Rose Lattanzi

"Xanadu" cult film now a hit Broadway  musical!
I was raised on a small farm near Port Jefferson,OH and now live in Piqua,OH.
I have been a fan of Olivia since 1971 when she first released "If Not For You" written by Bob Dylan. Her soft, gentle and sweet, etheral voice (along with her Catholic school girl-like attributes)mesmerized me and made me a fan right off the bat!
Aside from Olivia's music I collect pop oldies from the 50s through the 70s I am a huge oldies and blues enthusiast and once worked on the air in small town radio for twelve years before giving it up and taking a regular job to raise my three teenage sons. My wife Kimberly attended Edison Community College in Piqua and is a freelance commercial artist in addition to working at a printing company in Minster,OH
I am also a volunteer freelance announcer and production man for
