~ October Sees Frank & Faith Vautier Travel to Europe ~ Jersey, London and France for Reunion & Vacation ~

Frank Vautier Travels to The British Isle of Jersey for a Vautier Family Union & Reunion!

Jersey is British but not part of the United Kingdom. The Island which is located in the English Channel about 15 miles from France and 90 miles south of England, is small – about ten miles by five – and has a population of only 85,000, it is a major international offshore finance center holding deposits worth billions of pounds sterling.

Frank Vautier, who traveled to Jersey from Virginia (USA), is 2nd cousin to Nancy Vautier of Jersey, but prior to 1996 he had no idea of the origins of his surname. This is a testament to how modern technology can serve to unite people, for Frank found his family on the Internet. Frank was accompanied to the Jersey Vautier Reunion, by his wife Faith Vautier.

For a Week, More than 100 People from all over the World met in Jersey.
They all have one thing in common – Their Surname ~ "Vautier"

The Island Newspaper, The Jersey Evening Post, carried a two page full spread on the Vautier Reunion, Oct. 2, 2000.

Above – Keith Vautier from New Zealand, Ethelyn from the Gaspe coast, Noel Vautier from New Zealand, and Frank and Stephen from the USA. It was Stephen who sent Frank an email, in search of finding other Vautiers.

~ Returning to Washington, DC from Her International Travel to the Philippines ~

Cecille Chen, who we welcome back from her recent trip home to Philippine shores.

September 2000 ~ Cecille returns to her Internship with a prestigious Washington Law firm, where she designs and maintains their second generation Internet Web presence as well as their Intranet. This adds to an impressive list of undertakings and accomplishments such as her Art Studies at the Corcran School of Art and designing Multimedia Music and Video CDs

We look forward to Cecille's energies and creative talents adding to ICUG Programs

In San Francisco's Chinatown, Jessica visits Master Y.C. Wong's Kung Fu Studio ~ She is most graciously received by Master Wong and His Students and invited to watch the Class practicing. Master Wong has one of the oldest Studios in Chinatown and the USA, Established since 1967

Master Y. C. Wong, a most Honored Master of Hung Gar Martial Arts, is in Direct Lineage of the Art that was Created and handed down from Gee Shing (Jee Shin), the Abbott of the Shaolin Temple and one of the 5 Elders, some 300 years ago. This Lineage also includes such colorful and famous figures such as Wong Fei Hung and Hung Hay Goon (Hung Si Quan), names of historical Legend. Jessica being a Student of Wing Chun Kung Fu, which was created by Mistress Ng Mui, a Nun at Shaolin Temple, and also one of the 5 Elders of Shaolin, experienced a sense of deep Respect and Privilege by carrying the energies of her chosen Style, to the Door of another Branch of the Family whose Roots trace to Shaolin Temple. "Our Most Sincere and Deepest Thanks of Appreciation for the Warm Welcome and Hospitality that Jessica was accorded as a Guest, by Master Y.C. Wong and All of His Talented Students!"

August 2000 sees Marietta Vicente traveling to Western University in Los Angeles for her Diploma . We champion Marietta's earning her PhD in Business Administration

From the Philippines to Hong Kong and on to the Shores of Vancouver

As Journalist, Organizer, Emcee and now CEO

Marietta, CEO of her new company, Global Romance Connection, which will be debuting soon, after her recently starting Sunshine, A Graphics & Desktop Publishing company. With Marietta's busy schedule, we still hope to see this Lady Executive visit us here in Washington, DC in the near future. An 11 year association as an ICUG Member, has allowed us to share in Marietta's long list of personal and professional Successes!

Lucy, having worked with one of the biggest Banks in Malaysia has aspirations of a career change toward Volunteer and Charity work.

Lucy may visit and work with the ICUG Renaissance Program as early as 2001. We look forward to having Lucy and Michelle join us on Washington Shores, in the near future

Michelle is now living and attending College in Singapore and has high hopes of a visit to the USA sometime after she completes her studies
