WHO ARE THESE INFORMED CITIZENS OF PALM COAST?

Our group had its beginning on April 10, 2002.  Five citizens met for the first time and decided they wanted to have a say in the future of our city. We decided that if everyone knew the whole truth about each and every important issue things would improve for our city. The Informed Citizens would not be an adversarial group, but instead will be a source of credible information. The Informed Citizens would not insult our adult community by suggesting how they should vote, YES or NO, on current issues. The feeling is when the citizens know the facts their decisions becomes clear and obvious. We will inform the citizens not confuse them; we will present both sides on every issue so that citizens’ judgment will not be swayed by political rhetoric. The Informed Citizens of Palm Coast will always present facts based on research, city records and council statements.  Attend our meetings, become an informed citizen member, get active in our various information groups and we will make Palm Coast a great city.  Remember we are the Informed Citizens of Palm Coast, If Not Us Who?

 
Our Mission

The Informed Citizens of Palm Coast will be a source of credible information to our citizens so they can make intelligent and timely decisions pertaining to the Palm Coast city government.

Goals

	Establish an E MAIL network for our members so as to provide instantly changing news.
	Establish a Web site so as to provide all Palm Coast citizens access to information on the latest issues affecting our cities future.
	Establish a newsletter published at regular intervals so as to provide a written
	And lasting record of current items to all our members.
	Establish regular monthly meetings so as to provide latest information and answer questions for all citizens of Palm Coast.
	Establish an open line of communications with the Mayor and City Council so as to provide them an opportunity to state their side of important issues.
	Establish a citizens committee to meet with the Mayor on a regular basis to discuss important city issues.
