It's easy to believe, especially as citizens of a presumably democratic country like the United States of America, that each of us as individuals possess the full control of our faculties and may exhibit the full extent of free will that human nature permits, within the bounds of legal limits designed to prevent our encroaching on the free will, safety and tranquility of others.
