Lawyers and court cases did always fascinate Tatay.  He was extremely happy to have been given a guided tour in February 1997 of the Supreme Court of the Philippines, courtesy  of no less than Honorable  Supreme Court Justice Teodoro Padilla.  Tatay considered this occasion a precious and unforgettable experience in his life-time.
On Dec.11, 1998,  Fr. Raymond T. Sabio, MSC received a Presidential Award (Banaag Citation) for his work with the Seafarers in the Apostleship of the Sea-Inchon, Korea.  A snap-shot was taken with Vice President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo after the awarding ceremony.
For Tatay, to have stepped into the main Ceremonial Hall of the Malacanang Palace was a unique and privileged experience.  He did not expect this, aware of his very humble origin.
