Stichting Amigos de San Juan de Flores heeft zich ten doel gesteld om de bewoners van het dorp San Juan de Flores in Guatemala een betere toekomst te bieden. San Juan de Flores is het dorp waarnaar Barbara Nijhuis in 1998 is uitgezonden door het Institue of Cultural Affairs Terug in Nederland wilde zij dit dorp blijven ondersteunen en richtte zij samen met Sascha van Belzen en Natasja Kuipers de Stichting op.
