On the 28th of June 2002 I was fortunate to have an opportunity of taking part in a local Geocache TV News story on FOX 5 KVVU.  I was lucky to have Heidi Hayes the reporter and Lee (sorry I didn't catch your last name) cameraman from FOX 5.  They were great.  They made me feel at ease.  The story will air on the 23rd of July at 10PM.  I am very anxious about this.  I have only been on video a few times.
The first time I saw myself was at college for a speech class.  They say you are your worst critic, but I think my instructor
Mrs. Meyers had to been running a close second.  Gosh, the more I think about it, Berkshire Community College was brutal to my esteem.  I like to give an honorable mention to Mr. Michael Brooks for his attempts to enlighten me on writing a paragraph.  I still can not imagine how I could pass High School and not be able to write  intelligently.  Enough of the retrospective fears of inadequacy.....here are a few picture from the FOX 5 news story...

What a great day to drive out to the River Mountains Scenic View cache site in FOX 5's 4X4.  Heidi and Lee looked ready to do some hiking.  With Lee in the driver's seat, a GPS unit connected to a PC, we sped off down a dirt road in search of our Geocache site.  Six miles we travel on the rugged road that winds through mountains.   We parked on top of a peak that over looks the river valley below.  The last 1500 feet to the Cache site will require a little hike up a very steep hill side.  It must have been around high noon when we set off trudging up the hill with Lee and camera gear in the the rear.  Even though there was a nice breeze, the sun was beating down on us with a vengeance.  Upward we traveled as I called out the distance and bearing number to the cache.  Finally at 50 feet from the cache I gave Heidi instruction to start searching for the cache.  I explained that the cache is in a ammo box which is usually hidden under a pile of rocks.  Unfortunately the hill side consist of a large number of rock piles.  It didn't take Heidi long to find the cache.  We all had a great time... wish we could do a weekly FOX 5 geocache story.... It will better than an aussi guy wrestling gators!
