September 1999- My first trip to Ibiza. We travelled on a 'late booking' holiday with the accomodation to be allocated on arrival in Ibiza. We were allocated the Hotel Presidente in Portinatx, a small resort in the north of the island, about as far away from the action as it is possible to get. Taxi! We visited San Antonio and went to Eden and Es Paradis nightclubs and also took several trips to Ibiza Town. June 2000- This time we got the location right. We Stayed at Club Paraiso in the center of San Antonio town, close to Cafe Mambo and the Sunset Strip. We drank at Cafe Mambo, Cafe Del Mar, Cafe Savannah and Bar M and Itaca. We went to the water party at Es Paradis, the foam party, Dave Pearce and Judge Jules at Eden and Ministry of Sound at Pacha (opening party). September 2000- Another late booking holiday, we couldn't het into Club Paraiso so we opted for Pisces Park Hotel by the egg in the center of San Antonio. Again we drank at Bar M, Itaca and the Garden of Eden and visited Cafe Mambo for the sunset every evening. We went to the water party at Es Paradis, the Cream closing party at Amnesia and Dave Pearce and Judge Jules (with Safri Duo) at Eden. We also took a boat trip to Es Vedra. May 2001- Polar Ted makes his first visit to Ibiza! We stayed at El Cotto Appartments near Cala Gracia on the northern edge of San Antonio town. May is right at the start of the season and many bars and clubs weren't open yet. We did get to the opening night of Tonic at Eden and some nights at Es Paradis. We visited the Aquarium near Cala Gracio and spent most days on the beach. June 2001- Back again for the start of the season proper. This time we were staying in Club Paraiso in San Antonio - again! The afternoons were spent at the new Coastline Cafe complex, the evenings at Mambo and the nights clubbing. We enjoyed a week of opening parties, going to Manumission at Priviledge, Gods Kitchen at Amnesia, Twice as Nice at Es Paradis, Organised Chaos at QPQ and Subliminal Sessions at Pacha. September 2001- Polar Ted is heading off on a world tour - South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, America and Canada. But the first stop is Ibiza! Sunrise and sunsets, Judge Jules and Dave Pearce, Water Party and Foam Party! June 2002- Once again staying at the Club Paraiso in San Antonio. This time new sand has been added to the beaches - Ibiza is bigger than ever before! We spent the afternoons recovering from the nights before. The evenings were spent in Mambo and Coastline for the sunsets and later at Bar M, Itaca and the Garden of Eden. We went to the opening parties for Manumission at Privilege, Euphoria with Dave Pearce at Eden and at Inox, the renamed Fabric club close to Cala des Moro. September 2002- A cheap late-deal holiday to end the season with accomodation allocated on arrival. And guess what we were allocated Club Paraiso in San Antonio - just where we wanted to be! We went on day trips to Formenterra and Ibiza Town. We spent the evenings at Coastline, Mambo, Cafe del Mar and Garden of Eden. We went to Euphoria with Dave Pearce and were guests at Judgement Sunday with Judge Jules. June 2003- Another cheap Late Deal holiday. This time the accomodation is in San Antonio Bay. It's an hours walk from the town or 10 minutes by boat or taxi. We spent the afternoons by the hotel pool and the evenings partying! On the guestlists for Judge Jules, Lisa Lashes and Tonic we had a pretty good week... September 2003- Another cheap Late Deal holiday, too early for most of the closing parties. But we're staying at Club Paraiso in San Antonio again. We had heavy rain, lightning and storms at night but the days were warm and sunny. We spent the daytime on the beach and visited Ibiza Town.
