Saeed Anwar

Saeed Anwar is the best opening batsman in the world who is good on both sides of wickets.

Saeed Anwar started his career in 1988, but he wasn't a permanent member until 1993. He'd been in and out during his early career. Especially when the West Indian team was on Pak tour, Saeed Anwar got pair (Zero in both innings) Test, also his first International Test Match. But now, he's an important key member of Pakistani Team. During his 11 years career, he had made many records. He's a highest Man Of The Match Winner by any Pakistani. He had also scored  3 consecutive 100's in Sharjah. He also shared 1st wicket partnership during the semi final match againt New Zealand in the recent World Cup.... And..Who will forget his 194 runs againt arch-rival India on May 21, 1997, the highest score in ODI matches. Pakistani Cricket fan & the team members were wiling for him to score one more consecutive 100 in the final against Australia in the World Cup final after scoring 103 & 113* against Zimbabwe and New Zealand respectively in last Super Six match and then in semifinal. He was unable to do so, but he's still considered as one of the best batsman in the world. His pair with former captain, Aamir Sohail had been very popular. Wasim Akram the former captain of Pakistani team, said about Saeed Anwar "He's one of the best opener I have ever seen" after he scored 2 consecutive 100 in World Cup 99.
