The dashing and angry man of the Cricket - People called him. But Aamir Sohail thinks he is not a dashing or angry man (interview).

Aamir Sohail started his ODI career in 1990/91 in Sharjah, Sri Lanka and Test in 1991/92 at Birmingham against Engalnd. In his first match, he scored. In his first Test series against any country, he scored    total in his first series.

Aamir was also the member of the victorious1992 World Cup Champion - Pakistan. He played very good Cricket with average rate of over 50, excluding the final, when Aamir got out early with his opening partner Rameez Raja. But Pakistan still won that match.

Imran Khan was the captain of the Pakistani team for approx 10 years. But when he quit the International Cricket in 1992, Pakistan lacked the true captain. 7 captains were changed since the retirement of Imran Khan to upto - Javed Miandad, Salim Malik, Wasim Akram, Rammez Raja, Saeed Anwar, Aamir Sohail, Rashid Latif (& also Moin Khan 1 Test, Waqar Younis 1 Test). Wasim is enjoying his 3rd time as a captain (I shoul dsay it is his 4th time, because he was suspended for 2 months) while Aamir was appointed captain twice. After Wasim Akram, and Salim Malik, Aamir is the most successfull Pakistani captain.

Look at the below chart to find out how many Test and ODI did they represent in and how many did they won or lost or were draw

Aamir Sohail has been in and out of the team due to fighting with Wasim Akram and of betting charges against Wasim Akram. Now, Wasim Akram is cleared from the betting allegations and is performing as a captain in 3 ODI series agaisnt West Indies . Aamir Sohail is also back in the team after 10 months. He represented Pakistani team last time when Zimbwe was on the tour of Pakistan. Aamir quit as a captain saying "Players and Official are not cooperating with him." He hasn't played international Cricket since then. He missed Pakistan in India 2 Test series, Asian Test Championship, Pepsi Cup, Sharjah Cup and World Cup 1999. Why ??? because of iktilatafat with Wasim Akam. But now, Wasim Akram has welcomed Aamir Sohail's back to team
