Chris was never really (in his own words) a 'shire type' As a child he fitted in fairly well with his peers, having a disproportionately large being fairly run of the mill for children in that age bracket. But as he grew, and grow he did, his family and friends soon began to realise that something wasn't quite right. Chris left his Australian home and spent much of his young adult life travelling the world, desperately searching for somewhere to fit in. Both the Americans and Russians were able to easily follow his progress from space, his head easily identified from satellites in a geosynchronous orbit.
Not being able to find a sense of belonging overseas, he returned home to Australia. He worked in television and radio for a short period of time, most well known for his regular appearances on the popular Channel 10 series Rove [Live]. Tragically, this, like so many of the other phases of Chris's life was to be short lived. He was last seen leaving Australian shores in early September 2001, his destination, somewhere in England. No one really knows his exact location, although on a clear day it is said you can spot his head (capped with what must be the worlds largest beret) from the Eiffle Tower. |
