Ever
had to stop that once in a lifetime run to tighten hardware?
I can tell you...it is frustrating. Even more frustrating
is that I do most of my fingerboarding outdoors. You thought
trying to find that lost axle nut in the carpet was tough,
try finding it in some park gravel or in some uncut grass...IMPOSSIBLE!
This frustration led to many nights thinking about what
could be done to stop my hardware from coming loose at the
least appropriate time. Many different ideas were tossed
around those first few nights. Some seemed too simple to
be functional, and some were just plain out of reach for
my limited budget. Of the ideas, the one you can see in
picture above was the first one executed. Many more have
been tried since then but few have the qualities going for
it that the Hydraulic Phase-1 wheels have going for them.
Easy to make, won't break a budget, and are totally functional!
Have a look around the site, hopefully you'll find something
interesting (if not useful) to use in your fingerboarding.
