Where in Central Virginia?
RHHC has land in western Amelia, western Nottoway, southern Prince Edward and northern Lunenburg. Our clubhouse is near Jetersville.
What are the dues?
Dues are $400 a year, with 3 work days. Work days are organized by lease. Each lease has a team that is responsible for the posting, trash management, trails and placement of club owned tree stands.
How many members are there for the 2200 acres?
Our current cap on members is 40. The size of these properties ranges from 75 to 500 acres. During black powder and general firearms hunting season, RHHC members are required to either call-in or visit the clubhouse before entering a lease to check in, then return to clubhouse to sign out. Also at each Property is a mailbox to sign in &out upon entering or leaving a lease.
Are children considered part of the dues?
If the child is directly under your care (has not left home for marriage or employment), then they hunt free as does your spouse. Once a child is gainfully employed and on their own, they must join the club and pay their own dues.
How much dog hunting is there compared to still hunting?
Archery and Muzzleloading is strictly still hunting. We voted this year on general firearms season dates for dogs and man drives. By general voting, dog and man drive will begin as soon as the general firearms season opens.
Small game hunting?
We have a rule prohibiting small game hunting during the deer season.
Turkey hunting?
Available on all properties and as much as game regulations allow.
